Tyler's 3rd Birthday party

Tyler's 3rd Birthday party was today.  It was a pleasant 111 degrees and fun was had by all.  We brought him Margaritas (cause the kid has to learn to drink sometime).

Jax and the Foxtails

Last Sunday Jax managed to eat a few foxtails.  I suspect that he usually gets away with this behavior but this time his esophagus was scratched and it triggered several hours of hacking and gagging.  At about 4 AM Monday morning I brought him to the hospital and was informed a specailist would need to perform an endoscopy to investigate.  At 9 PM Monday we picked up Jax, a bunch of medicine, and a baggy full of foxtails they took out of his stomach.   Its been a bit over a week now and I brought him for his first morning walk where he proceed to run to the nearest unmowed patch of foxtails and attempted to eat a few.

Dogs are awesome.

Vandalism can be good.

Living in San Francisco the anti-bush slogans/protests/etc can get somewhat tiresome.  I've always felt that people that express an opinion around others that agree with them are more interested in feeding their own ego then actually accomplishing anything.  Sometimes however, they actually think of something original.   This is one of those examples:

The Bailout Brochure

I'm not sure where this originated, but I love it.

We're back!

About a month ago the power supply in my small server started smoking and wedinthepark.com went down.  Since then I've been trying to figure out what to do to replace it and we've been offline because of that.

We're back now, using a new service called posterous.  So far I like it, its simple and easy to use.  The best part is I can just email blog posts and it intelligently handles the email and makes things look nice and pretty.  I think the only thing I'm not sure about is if this will work for Aki's scribbles.  I'll have her test it later today.

Anyway, we're back.
